The Bruny Youth Stories Prize, proudly run by Bruny Kids and Nature, invites young people to write a short story about a native bird of Bruny Island. Fiction or non-fiction—your voice, your perspective, your bird.
How to Enter
Write a 50–500-word piece about a Bruny Island bird and submit it to:

Age Categories
Junior: up to 10 years
Youth: 11–15 years
Young Writers: 16–22 years
Prizes
$250 prize money for the winning story in each category
Winning stories will be turned into a short film, featuring bird footage
Films will be published on Kuno and shared on YouTube. Every entry will be published online via Brunykids.org, so all stories will be celebrated and shared.
