Childhood connection with Nature is critically important for health, development, happiness and the pure joy of understanding, seeing and experiencing the wonders of the world around us.

The Bruny kids and Nature page is a home for stories, events, things to do and articles about kids connecting with, learning about and experiencing the joy of Nature on Bruny Island.

This page includes articles and stories written by a range of writers and authors, and includes articles written by kids themselves (with parental permission). The page is managed by educators, writers and parents of kids who have a connection to Bruny Island.

The Bruny Kids webpage project is being coordinated by Bruny Island teacher, Claire Boost. Claire runs Bush Lil (a Launching into Learning Program for children aged 0-4), and is helping to establish an Outdoor Classroom at Bruny Island District School.

Claire is a Bruny Island teacher who has been educating in, about and for the environment for over 20 years. Claire currently runs Bush LIL, is helping establish an outdoor classroom, and coordinates the Bruny kids webpage project.
