About Claire
Claire is passionate about creating meaningful experiences through filmmaking and photography, community involvement, and her work at Inala.
Background
With a solid foundation in wildlife conservation, Claire began her career as a tour guide at Phillip Island Nature Parks, where she worked with visitors to share information on the Little Penguin and its habitat, working to foster respectful interactions with nature.
Her journey continued in 2008 when she worked as a production assistant for renowned wildlife cinematographer David Parer on the TV series "Penguin Island," where she gained invaluable experience observing Little Penguins in their natural habitat.
A now accomplished filmmaker, Claire has directed, filmed, and co-edited a number of award-winning feature documentaries.
Beyond her filmmaking pursuits, Claire is deeply committed to her community as a co-founder of Cloudy Bay Supergroms Inc., Bruny Island’s largest sporting club. Established in 2021, the club provides structured surfing activities for local families, fostering a connection to the ocean for primary school-aged children. With over 56 members and a growing community, the Supergroms create opportunities for children to discover their passion for the sea.
Claire’s diverse experiences ensure that every project she undertakes is not only a journey of enjoyment but also one that fosters a deep, lasting appreciation for the natural world.
