Exploring sparks true love for nature

Kunanyi - Mount Wellington
I would like for all the people that visit the top of the mountain for the great views, that they would take just five or ten minutes out of that time, to explore one of the tracks, or one of the other features of the mountain.

Because I think getting out of your car and going into nature, that’s what starts that love of nature, that exploring. That curiosity of finding different things, even if it's just for five or ten minutes. And there is so much to explore and to see on that mountain. It is just unbelievable.

I've been going there for 10 years. Every time we go, and sometimes that’s three or four times a week for me, I still find new things. I still see new things, different animals, different plants. And there is something for everybody. For history buffs, there's lots of old ruins, old huts, there's old tracks, and then you've got the whole nature side, the flora and fauna.
