Beautiful rocks of kunanyi

Almost anywhere you stand in Hobart you'll see the mountain looming up as a beautiful backdrop to the city.

But even though its spectacular silouette can be seen from afar, you have to get up close to really appreciate the different rock formations and patterns that kunanyi has to offer. Kunanyi / Mt Wellington has several different types of rock, including sandstone, mudstone and dolerite rock, the last of which can be seen on the distinctly featured organ pipes.
