An outdoor sculpture garden

It's like an outdoor sculpture garden up on the mountain. It's like visiting a night gallery, because for me the rocks are beautiful, and there's such a diverse range of shapes and forms up there.

Sometimes, I can visit the same rock many times over many years, at different times of the year and in different conditions, but then I'll look at it from a slightly different angle and it’s a completely new rock for me. It's just an epiphany every time basically.

But in terms of what I'd like people to know about the mountain, is that there's many elements to the mountain. It caters for all different interests from the people who love fungi, to the mountain bike riders, to the climbers. But I'd really like people to be prepared if you're going up on the mountain in wintertime, because it can kill you up there.

So many times you see people going up there ill prepared, just with runners on and jeans. It's usually very sheltered on this side of the mountain, but when you get over the lip onto the plateau area, that's where the wind is and it can quite easily be minus 15, minus 20, and it's just dangerous.
