What is Kuno?

A rich meaningful life, and a future where people and nature can thrive together depends upon human connection with the natural world. We protect what we love.

Humans evolved deeply connected with the natural world, but technology has disrupted that relationship. This now threatens the very fabric of life on Earth.

Powerful Ideas and technological breakthroughs have always shaped humanity’s future.

The idea behind Kuno is that saving life on Earth depends upon human connection with Earth, and that platform technology needs to be harnessed to the task of rekindling the loving bond between humanity and Earth to save both.

The challenge of the century: finding a future where people and life on Earth can thrive together
Kuno has a big vision and is starting small

Kuno is a global platform for life on Earth, with a big global vision.

But the Earth is a very big place! So we're starting small - we're working with a small number of dedicated partners and contributors who we are working with together to build out a 'crowd-sourced' beautiful presentation of different aspects of the Earth's natural world and the efforts to conserve it.

This is starting with some extraordinary microcosms of our natural world, examples of what makes planet Earth the best thing that has happened to the Universe!

Our pilot locations under development are:

  • Bruny Island - a globally significant haven for birds and exquisite and varied landscapes in Tasmania
  • Chitral & Gilgit-Baltistan - a land of soaring mountains, deep valleys, glacial lakes and wonderful wildlife in NW Pakistan
  • Panay Island - home to an extraordinary collection of plants, animals and ecosystems, in the heart of the Philippines archipelago
  • Mosman Peninsula - hosting myriad birds, hidden beaches, fascinating cultural heritage, and important patches of remnant bushland in the heart of Sydney Harbour

Kuno is an exciting project in its early formative stages. We would love for you to join us.

If you would like to become one of Kuno's first 50 contributing authors that would be wonderful.

Maybe you could be a part of building crowd-sourced guides to the natural history, values, stories and conservation needs for one of our pilot locations?

Or maybe you would like to work with us to setup new locations or critical topics?

Or just add an article or story or share some of your knowledge of our planet or your efforts or a project you're working on?

Have you got some feedback on this early platform that is being developed? Have you some incredible skills or talents you could bring to this project and you would like to be part of the small enthusiastic team that is getting this project off the ground?

We would love to hear from you!
