Make It Happen! A Great Forest National Park Short Film

Through the eyes of leading Australia Hollywood export Director Toby Phillips, viewers are taken on a journey through picturesque landscapes, critically endangered forests, and the destructive effects of industrial clearfelling logging for paper.

The film follows local adventurers as they journey across the region on horse, bike, foot and kayak. Philips, a resident of the Yarra Valley, was inspired to make the film, after learning about the destruction of on his doorstep.

The Make it Happen film has also been supported by Australian musician John Butler, who provided the iconic sound track “Oceans”. Production of the film took place in May 2018 on location in the proposed Great Forest National Park, and was sponsored by both Canon and Panasonic.

About the Director: Toby Phillips is one of Australia’s leading Hollywood exports. One of only three Australians honoured by Kodak in their first tribute to the world’s top 100 cinematographers.  Toby has worked on films including Mad Max Beyond ThunderDome, Born on the Fourth of July and Yentl. Phillips has also crafted music video clips for iconic artists including Madonna, TLC & David Bowie.
