The Leven River runs for close to 100 kilometres from the highlands near Loongana to the sea at Ulverstone.
Along the way it changes character many times. In the upper reaches, a deep, wild gorge holds almost continuous rapids that test the most experienced paddlers. Through Gunns Plains the river eases into gentler whitewater, and near the coast it opens out into long, broad stretches of calm water.

A working group is bringing together a community-led vision for the Coast to Cradle Wild Country, and are inviting the community to drive and shape this vision so it captures their dreams for the future of this very special place.
