Simply put, the microfauna are the link that connects nearly everything in the aquatic environment together (birds, fish, invertebrates, everything!). These tiny animals are fundamentally important.

Dr Walsh has extensive expertise in this field - managing field work, contributing to research programs, training academics and students, conducting tests and surveys, and providing public education, technical reports, seminars and webinars.

Dr Walsh has a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Zoology/Aquatic Botany, Honours in Limnology and PhD in Zoology.
