Almendra De Los Heros Orosco

I come from a Peruvian-Bolivian background having lived in both places for over 19 years of my life I grew up around wildlife my whole life and I had the privilege of living in a low developed area where monkeys would swing from tree to tree as I watched from my window.

My mum loved flowers and conservation and I grew up volunteering in many organisations involved in conservation of wildlife and flora of Santa Cruz Bolivia. I was also involved in the conservation and community efforts to maintain and advocate for laws to protect the ocean of my main hometown Pimentel Peru. I moved to Australia in 2022 to pursue professional writing and international relations and as I am finishing my degree i want to specialise and bridge my writing into conservation.
