From the car pullover at the Park entry booth, follow a slightly rough and steepish track initially ahead to the South then beside an old quarry and eventually to the North and steeply downhill through the bush and out to the beach of Mabel Bay. Mabel Bay is named after a ship called the Mabel that was wrecked here in 1902. The beach here is wonderful – secluded, wild, often with a decent surf particularly if there is an Easterly. Views out across Cloudy Bay to the craggy headlands of West Cloudy Head, East Cloudy Head, and on to rock islands, ‘The Friars’ are all afforded here.

From the Ferry Terminal on Bruny Island, drive south on Bruny Island Main Road (B66) for 24km before turning right at the T-junction at Lunawanna onto Lighthouse Road (C629). Follow Lighthouse Road south for [14km] until you reach a lookout and small car pullover on the left hand side of the road.
