Track details

Walk down to the Jetty and then follow the steps out onto Jetty Beach. Follow the beach north and up onto Denne’s point, where you can pick up the Denne’s point heritage trail – some interpretative signage that takes you through this region’s extraordinary history. From Denne’s point a thin coastal reserve can be closely followed rock hopping east along the coast to Kelly’s point and then, if you choose, following the coast south-east out to Cape De La Sortie. There are sweeping views across the Derwent river and Storm Bay offered here – up the Derwent river towards Hobart, across the water to South Arm or further east to the Tasman Peninsula. From here return back along the coast to Denne’s point and back along either Jetty beach or Denne’s point lane to the Jetty.
