An accessible and relatively calm shallow reef alongside the shoreline from East Cove Beach north to Grass Point and Penguin Island, perfect for snorkelling and exploring reefs, seaweeds and viewing fish such as the Brown-Striped Leatherjacket, Blue-Throated Wrasse and out on the sandy sea floor, the Dusky Flathead

From the carpark at the end of Adventure Bay Road, you can follow the track out to East Cove Beach and walk into the water here, where shallow snorkelling is offered northward along the rocky areas of seaweed and reef, paddling and snorkelling out towards Grass Point and Penguin Island. Here you can often sea Brown-Striped Leatherjacket, Blue-Throated Wrasse, and if you are lucky, the occasional Shaws Cowfish. Dusky Flathead frequent the sandy bottom sea floor further out into the cove, and seasonally whales migrate past Grass Point and into Adventure Bay.
