Whilst Cloudy Corner is more sheltered, the main beach of Cloudy Bay can face fierce surf and dangerous rips and currents. There are plenty of snakes on the walk out to East Cloudy Head, particularly in summer

From Lunawanna, drive 9.7km south on Cloudy Bay Road (C644) until you reach the Cloudy Bay carpark and turning circle. For walkers, there is a walk along Cloudy Bay Beach to Cloudy Corner to get to the campground. For those with a vehicle and caravan, there is the option of driving on the hard sand 3km down the beach to the entrance track to the campground. Please drive slowly and keep your vehicle off the soft sand to protect birdlife and nesting habitat.

Parks office open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday

Key info

$10 for 1 or 2 people per night. Each additional adult $5 per night. Each additional child (5-17, under 5 no charge) - $2.50 per night. Family (2 adults, 3 children) - $15 per night.
