A short walk on a bush-track out to the inlet of the Cloudy Bay Lagoon and rock hopping along the coast to Inlet Beach.

The access point to this track starts on a small private track through bush out to the coastal reserve. From here, rock hop your way along the Lagoon inlet south and out to the open Cloudy Bay. You can follow the coast southwards here until you reach Inlet beach, which some people use for camping. This Inlet to the Cloudy Bay Lagoon is rich in sea-life and birdlife and is a wonderful place to contemplate and observe the rhythms of the sea and the natural world.

This walk starts from a small car pullover on the way to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse, an approximately 1 hour drive south from the Ferry terminal at Roberts Point. From the Ferry Terminal on Bruny Island, drive south on Bruny Island Main Road (B66) for 24km before turning right at the T-junction at Lunawanna onto Lighthouse Road (C629). Follow Lighthouse Road south for [9km] until you reach a small car pullover on the left-hand side of the road, where there is a space to park and an [iron gate that is locked][chain across the track]. A sign indicates the land on the right side of the track is private – but the track is public. [NB: To be verified / explored: Alternative start is about 1km up the road closer to Lunnawanna where you can walk straight to the coastal reserve from the Road]
