From the carpark, walk down to Cloudy Bay beach, a wide, open beach that is renowned for rolling surf and that faces the Southern Ocean where beyond the South-West Cape of Tasmania, no further significant landmark exists between here and Antarctica. Walk the 3-4km along the beach – enjoying the sight of Sootyand Pied Oystercatchers and Hooded plovers along with other birdlife, before you reach the campground and track at Cloudy Corner at the end of the beach. From here, you have the options for extended walks out to East Cloudy Head, or Pine Log Bight, or to return along the beach back to the carpark.

From Lunawanna, drive 9.7km south on Cloudy Bay Road (C644) until you reach the Cloudy Bay carpark and turning circle.
