From the car-park walk out onto the stunning Adventure Bay Beach. From here at the more sheltered part of Adventure Bay “Quiet Corner” you can follow the beach in a south-eastern direction, wading across ‘Captain Cook Creek’ before following the beach on to ‘Kaden’s Corner’ and then returning. This is an region steeped in stories and human. The Nuenonne people frequented this coastline and made it home for more than 40,000 years. More recently European explorers, adventurers and colonisers used Adventure Bay as a sheltered cove, and there are is a rich maritime story and artefacts that can be explored at the nearby Bligh Museum of Pacific Exploration. There is some wonderful birdlife you can see along here, and please try to keep off the dry sand which is important for nesting.

From the Roberts Point Ferry Terminal on Bruny Island, follow Bruny Island Main Road (B66) south for 30km before turning left onto Adventure Bay Road (C630) towards Adventure Bay. Drive south along Adventure Bay Road (C630) for [6.9km] and then turn left into a car park and turning circle at the ‘Quiet Corner’ of Adventure Bay.
